Sustainability

Sustainability is critical to ANDA. Our team is constantly researching how we can incorporate an eco-conscious and ethical approach to our company, as well as educating ourselves on climate change, health, and landfill use. We strive to create long lasting jewelry so that we can contribute to reducing the amount of landfill waste that is currently being produced in the world. We exclusively aim to work with suppliers that ethically source their materials and try to reduce their plastic use whenever possible.

Each piece is handcrafted by our founders. Our company also uses bio-degradable packaging, as well as compostable shipment materials made of PBAT and modified cornstarch. Our packaging materials are certified by BPI, OK compost and comply with the standards of ASTM 6400. The “bubble” mailers we use represent a 60% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to traditional plastics, is non-toxic and does not contain BPA. We will be supporting and collaborating with organizations that aid in plastic reduction, compostable products, ocean cleaning, coral restoration, and much more.

As members of We The Reef by Coral Gardeners, 5% of every sale is donated to save and restore coral reefs. You can read more about the program here

The earth and our beautiful oceans hold a very special place in our hearts on a personal level. We understand that there is always room for improvement, so our research and efforts to promote, educate, and practice sustainability will not stop here. As we continue to grow as a company, we will continue to manage and improve the social and environmental impacts of our supply chain, including using materials that can be fully traced to the source of origin. Together, we can save our planet, our marine life, and our currently dying coral reefs.

Studio Practices

We try to go paperless as much as possible, and reuse paper whenever possible. We recycle!

We save and reuse all plastic bags from suppliers.

Minimize impact to earth by having a home studio. No commute and no extra footprint from the use of another location.
